Type A Fire Dampers - Single Crimped 3V Blade

Carnes Type A single crimped 3V blade fire dampers are UL and ULC listed for installation in walls, floors and partitions with a fire rating of less than 2 hours.  The type A fire damper is constructed with the damper framed the same size as the duct size and includes the blade stack and edge seals within the air stream.  Typical installation is in a low pressure (less than 3" w.c.) system

Fire dampers for use in static systems are used in duct systems and penetrations where there is little to no airflow when the damper closes.  Carnes single crimped 3V blade fire dampers may be installed vertically or horizontally in static HVAC systems that automatically shut down in the event of a fire.
